What are you good at?
Hi new readers. It’s been quite a while since I have come in here to riff some shit.
Lots has changed since the last time I wrote.
Not least because I have moved from my beloved Scotland to the USA. We moved at the end of December for a gap year, or two, of sorts. Lots to tell on that front, many learnings and ups and downs and culture shocks aplenty. More on that to come.
I’m guaranteeing – right here now – that this blog will be an AI free spraffing zone. It’s raw, not shiny nor polished, just some middle-aged Scottish bird saying what she sees with only her own self-censoring to blame if she receives accusations of being too woke or not woke enough.
I’ve never set out for huge reader numbers (though that would be nice!), and to be honest, wouldn’t know where to start with SEO optimisation etc, so I want you to know that if you found me, you are one of the few, and I appreciate you!
Do let me know how you found me, I’m interested in that, especially since I’m currently sticking to WordPress, my original home, as I find the platform options these days just so overwhelming and not sure if the energy depletion of changing would be worth it, given my idiosyncrasies!
I did, before picking up my phone this morning (currently getting my toes prinked up – a treat my bank account won’t like), have a sneaky look at what one of the AI thingys made of “A Savage Joy” (formerly glasgowdragonflys blog) – and was so pleasantly surprised with its summary that I am feeling all glowy and warm and fuzzy inside!
Hooorah! Chat GPT gets me (must see if others disagree!) and dare I say …likes me!
Or, do “they” (what gender is AI?) just love everyone?
