Happy Friday Everybody!
OK, it’s official. We are in the midst of the bleak mid-winter here in Scotland and it’s absolutely Baltic outside. The final leaves are falling from the skeletal trees and the nights are closing in FAST.
Mist lingers in the woody air.
The geese have fled.
Yup, there’s always a hundred or so good reasons to mourn the end of summer in my book.
My number one reason right now is Glasgow’s notorious monsoon conditions. Those heavy black clouds that always conspire to burst when I’m at the furthest possible point from home, on foot and sans brolly.
Being wet is the new dry.
But it needn’t all be bleak Glasgowdragonfly.
Very true, Glasgowdragonfly!
‘Tis the season of sleigh gazing on a starry night as frost sparkles underfoot, hearty one pot meals, carol singing and pantos. And let’s not forget that killer LBD you bought for the work Christmas party.
Yes, it’s almost time to shut the curtains, get the mulled wine bubbling on the stove and curl up in front of an open fire with a bloody good book.
If this is getting you in the mood for Christmas and you’re able to get to Glasgow from the 20th-23rd of November, read on.
The lovely people over at Country Living Magazine have sent me three pairs of complimentary tickets to their Christmas Fair at Glasgow’s SECC next week.
To be in with chance of winning a pair of tickets (worth Β£24) please follow the entry instructions below.
Anyone who has been to this fair before will know that it is a veritable winter wonderland of stalls selling everything from festive decor through to stocking fillers. Perfect for someone like me who has not one, but two flipping secret Santa presents to procure pronto. Arrrgh! The pressure!
Basically, if you’re not ding donging merrily on high by the time you leave, you might as well just eat humbugs forever more.
How to enter
All you have to do to win one of three pairs of Country Living Magazine Christmas Fair tickets is:
1) follow the Glasgowdragonfly blog (if you don’t already); and,
2) leave me a comment below or email glasgowdragonfly@gmail.com to let me know that you wish your name to be put in Santa’s hat.
The competition closes at midnight on Sunday after which winners shall be drawn at random. *COMPETITION NOW CLOSED*
Good luck!
I wish to be put in the hat! I now follow on Bloglovin- just spotted your blog via Glasgow Bloggers!

I haven’t been to The Country Living Fair before, but I think it would be very enjoyable, so please add my name to your hat.
Thank you, Amanda.
