February shore

God, I miss the seagulls. I didn’t know until I closed my weary eyes at dawn. Breathing in the sea. Breathing out my childhood memories. Solitary company on an unfamiliar train platform. Tearing rubbish limb from limb. My icy nose is warmed by the caw of dirty, familiar things.
